Not really big news, but AICN has just posted info on QT's 4th Annual Film Fest.

Well, there hasn't really been any news in the last week or so, but thanks to Nick Conley for pointing this out, which appeared on Ain't It Cool News today:

'Hey Harry,
Keith Partridge here.I just opened this weeks television schedule from the Columbus Dispatch and inside there was a section called Vital Statistics, where an actors personal info is given every week. This weeks was Michael Madsen and when asked what his current projects are,the first one he mentioned was Quentin Tarantino's "World War II",which is what he calls a reworking of The Dirty Dozen. The war film is not anything new,but I haven't heard anything about Madsen being involved up till now.He made no mention of anyone else, including Adam Sandler,so Lord knows who else will be in this, but apparantly it has a title now.Anyways, thought you and everyone else would like to know that.Keep up the good work and stay cool.

Keith Partridge'

Well, the title isn't exactly all that great (I'm sure it's only a working title), but what is is the fact that Madsen's gonna be in it. He gave, in my opinion, the best performance of anyone in any of Tarantino's films as Mr. Blonde in Dogs, and it's great to see that they're finally going to be working together again.

Very good news concerning the From Dusk till Dawn: Collectors Edition DVD from DVDFILE.COM today:

"In addition to the previously mentioned features, FROM DUSK TIL DAWN will also feature, yes, the FULL TILT BOOGIE documentary on a second disc. The 2-disc set will come in a double-alpha pak, and retail for $39.95. And, yes, the transfer (on the film only, as I'm told FULL TILT BOOGIE was shot full frame) will be anamorphic widescreen. Cool. Also on the same day comes a FROM DUSK TIL DAWN collector's box set, which features the Collector's Series version of the first film, and the other two movie-only editions of DAWN 2 and DAWN 3. Retail is $79.95."

This is really great news, considering that most people (including myself) have never seen Full Tilt Boogie. This DVD just keeps getting better and better...

This appeared on DVDFILE.COM yesterday:

"Also, we were sent the full specs for the FROM DUSK TIL DAWN disc, and retail price is $39.95. The features include an audio commentary with Director Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino, and effects supervisor Greg Nicotero, deleted scenes with optional commentary, outtakes, a documentary "Hollywood Goes to Hell", 2 music videos, a still gallery with storyboards, concept drawings and production photos, the trailer and TV spots. No mention is made of the documentary FULL TILT BOOGIE, but the final press release hasn't arrived yet, and given the $39.95 price, we can cross our fingers and hope for a 2-disc set??"

Also, didn't realize I accidentally put "Little Green Bag" as the background music for the PF page, so I just changed it to "Misirlou". From Dusk till Dawn will probably be up tomorrow.

I've put up the new characters page in the Reservoir Dogs section and the re-designed Pulp Fiction section is now up and complete.

Some news concerning the From Dusk till Dawn: Special Edition DVD on DVDFILE.COM today (well, technically yesterday, but, hell, it's 1:30 AM):

"Also, in good news for FROM DUSK TIL DAWN fans, the long-delayed special editon disc has gottne a new date, 9/26. The disc wil feature the same features as the laserdisc, but according to Buena Vista the disc will be getting a new transfer, which I can hope means anamorphic. The rest of the features are all the same from the laserdisc, including the audio commentary and deleted scenes also with commentary. Stay tuned for more."

The info about the release date has been available for a few days, but the specific bonus material is news (although I figured it'd be the same as the LD).

I changed the Message Board, too. It's now much better looking (the old one was very ugly...).

Sorry I haven't gotten around to updating for a while (no real exuse, just been busy now that it's summer), but I hope you like the new look. I think it's much easier to get around now, and, most importantly, it now works with Netscape. The Pulp Fiction and From Dusk till Dawn sections will soon look like the Reservoir Dogs section does, probably within the next week or so.

Anyway, a few important things popped up over the last few weeks, including this from Dark Horizons on June 8th:

"Cryptic hints are leaking out on Quentin Tarantino's future projects, courtesy of inside.com. Hard at work on his World War Two project for Miramax, it seems he's quietly been writing a project entitled "Kill Bill" for good friend Uma Thurman. KB centers around a woman in a coma, features "a great sense of comeuppance" and will shoot next year."

Also, the Switchblade Sisters DVD came out and the From Dusk till Dawn special edition DVD has been pushed back to 9/26. Damn.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm now working on re-designing the site to make it Netscape friendly, so there won't be any updates for a few days.

Nifty! After about a 6 month wait, Quentin Tarantino: The Film Geek Files finally arrived! While I can't say anything about the book (although it looks to be one of the best Tarantino books out there) since I haven't had time to read it, it looks like 40 Lashes will probably be QT's next film afterall. From the back of the book:

"This definitive, illustrated anthology contains an outstanding selection of the most important interviews, articles, and reviews on Quentin Tarantino and his films including commentary by Tarantino himself, on his own movies and his favorite film genres - the blaxploitation pictures which influenced Jackie Brown, Italian horror movies and the Western genre which provides the setting for his next feature film, 40 Lashes."

Everything indicated that his next film would be the WWII film, including interviews with Tarantino and Lawrence Bender themselves, however this, with recent rumors of Tarantino filming in Mexico (which would undoubtedly be for a Western) could definetely mean we might see 40 Lashes afterall.

Well, it's about time, but those of you who ordered Quentin Tarantino: The Film Geek Files from Amazon will be happy to know it shipped today. Looks like it finally came out.

Help!
I just noticed that everything below the logo/quote on this site doesn't show up on Netscape browsers. If anyone reading this is familiar with Netscape and knows why this is happening, please e-mail me! I just got a notice from Yahoo! that states unless a site can show up on both browsers, they won't list it. So if you know how I can get it to work on Netscape, or why Netscape won't show the site below the logo, please let me know!
