Amazon now lists the release dates for Reservoir Dogs: The Screenplay as June 7th, True Romance: The Screenplay as April (but it looks like that's not happening), and Natural Born Killers: The Original Screenplay has been added to the line with a June 7th release date.

Added a few links, too.

Not really Tarantino news, but this short news bite appeared on Dark Horizons today:

Roberto Rodriguez has been in San Antonio, Texas filming his next flick Spy Kids and apparently confirmed to a local TV reporter that he's also working on a script for a sequel to Desperado.

Great, great news to see Rodriguez is finally working on the third Mariachi film (especially after The Faculty...ugh...). Like I said, not really Tarantino news, but I was pretty damn excited about it, and since they've collaborated many times in the past (and I'm sure many visitors here are big Rodriguez fans, too) I figured I'd post it.

This appeared over on Ain't it Cool News yesterday:

Just read this interesting tidbit about Quentin Tarantino`s next film behind the camera.A showbiz reporter, claiming that he talked to him at the pre-Oscar Miramax, in a english paper wrote "Ouentin Tarantino told me he is writing a part for comedy man Adam Sandler in his Spaghetti Western meets World War II film which he describes as a homage to the Dirty Dozen." Tarantino said "The Dirty Dozen is going to be my template, just as Reservoir Dogs was my heist film nod to The Killers. I`ve got a bunch of guys fighting the Nazis, and there`s a part for Adam Sandler, and I hope he`ll be crazy enough to do it."

This would make sense, seeing as Quentin's going to be appearing in the upcoming Sandler flick Little Nicky. Nothing against Sandler, but I can't picture him in a Tarantino film. Could work, though, if done right. I guess.

Also, I got up the main From Dusk till Dawn section last night and added the above story to the World War II Film section.

Well, haven't updated in a while (mainly because the site just isn't getting any hits...), but I figured this should be put up. This message was posted by Carlos Garcia Campillo on alt.fan.tarantino:

"There´s this rumor going around that Quentin Tarantino will be doing some shooting in a couple of weeks in a small town in central Mexico. Anybody know if this is true? Would it be Forty Lashes? I hadn't heard anything about it."

40 Lashes would be my guess, too. Hope it's true!

Also, it looks like we may be getting a From Dusk till Dawn: Special Edition DVD after all. Amazon lists it with a release date of June 13th. Very cool.

Amazon now lists the release date for Reservoir Dogs: The Screenplay as April 11. Could be true, but this is from the site that still lists the release date for The Film Geek Files as January 25th.....

Just found out that on Friday, Dark Horizons posted the first publicity shot of Quentin in Little Nicky. Click here to see it.

Well, I'm starting to think the article in the The Philadelphia Inquirer might actually be right (see the Feb. 8th update) about a secret film by Quentin that none of us knew about. I just found out today that in addition to Quentin Tarantino: The Film Geek Files coming out, sometime in either March or April are two more books coming out: Reservoir Dogs: The Screenplay and True Romance: The Screenplay. Seems very weird that 3 books would come out all within a month or two about a guy who hasn't done a film in 3 years. My guess would be he's going to have something coming out soon. Looks like everyone's preparing for Tarantino fever again.

Another update today. Just saw this at the Movie Maniacs website. It's from an interview with Todd McFarlane about his line of Movie Maniac toys:

"We have the Movie Maniacs, which work, but I think you could take the edge off...we're going to probably split it from Movie Maniacs to just sort of Movie Anti-Heroes or something, I don't know what we'll call it. Edward Scissorhands and Snake Plissken right now are Movie Maniacs, but they could be easily shuffled over. Shaft can come. We're working on the deal for Pinhead, so Pinhead would take Edward Scissorhands place. The Exorcist takes the place of Snake...Let's say we get the deal for Pulp Fiction, which we're working on, then all of a sudden it's like, 'We got two Samuel L.'s -- one bald and one hairy.'"

Pulp Fiction toys?! This came out of nowhere. McFarlane could do a really good job with these (and imagine how cool Reservoir Dogs toys by him would be). By the way, the new toy of Snake Plissken (the best character ever put on screen, in my opinion) is amazing. Check it out if you're a fan.

Anyway, keep checking back for news on these. I'm guessing we'll be hearing more on them pretty soon.

Just a quick note: Amazon still lists the release date for Quentin Tarantino: The Film Geek Files as January 25th, and Barnes & Noble, who said it'd be out today, lists it as shipping within 1-2 weeks. Don't know if that means it's out or not, but I guess it's a good sign.

I added the Links section and the Poll today. Make sure to vote!

Also, as some of you may know, Quentin Tarantino: The Film Geek Files never came out on January 25th. According to Barnes & Noble the book will be out tomorrow. We'll see....

Very exciting (and odd) news! This was in the Philadelphia Inquirer today:

Bono and Tarantino have a few good words for Johnny Cash
"Despite his battle with the ravaging neurological disorder Shy-Drawer syndrome, Johhny Cash is nearing completion of what has been a dream project - three anthologies of his music, centered on the themes of "Love", "God" and "Murder". Each disc will come with an essay.

And how about this? Cash had U2's Bono pen the "God" intro, and murder-minded moviemaker Quentin Tarantino provide the "Murder" peice."

It talks about Bono's part, and then:

"Tarantino, also a longtime Cash devotee, found time to pen "Murder" in the midst of completing three script deals and - very secretively, it seems - directing his first feature since Jackie Brown. His essay parallels Cash's downtrodden gunmen and today's gansta-rap scene."

What could the film be? My best guess would be 40 Lashes (based on Elmore Leonard's Forty Lashes Less One), which was rumored to be Tarantino's next project, until the WWII film news. The Internet Movie Database still lists 40 Lashes, with a release date of 2000. As for the 3 screenplays, maybe 40 Lashes, the WWII film, and an unknown one.

It seems very strange that Quentin would have directed (and written?) a film without ANYONE hearing ANYTHING about it. This, and the three screenplays, would definatly explain why we haven't seen anything since Jackie Brown. Until it's confirmed, though, I'm just going to be taking these as rumors, especially the secret film.
